We designed the Season Griddle to give you the flavour benefits of high heat cast iron cooking, without having to keep it seasoned.
If you've ever cooked corn on the cob on a griddle pan and added butter (heaven), you'll have witnessed the same thing as us - the butter slides between the grooves and doesn't actually do a great deal. This got us experimenting with griddle cooking surfaces, and the Season Griddle Pan is the result. It's enamelled, so you don't need to worry about the pan rusting. But, the interior coating is a matte black that holds seasoning and will retain an oil (or butter) coating while cooking, to give you that delicious char-grilled flavour. (Afterwards, just give it a good scrub as normal)
We've had a lot of fun cooking all sorts, both sweet and savoury (even a quick snack of pitta & hummus - it's amazing how a little brush with oil, 5 mins on the griddle and a sprinkling of sumac makes shop bought pitta altogether more interesting) and we'll keep you posted of our ongoing recipe developments.
