A wide, shallow casserole that goes from hob to oven to table: brown chicken thighs and finish them in the oven, bake focaccia, cook a chilli or a shallow braise, make a Sunday fry-up. More surface than a deep casserole, so more browns at once and sauces reduce faster.
Rather than copy a traditional design, our cooks and chefs started from a blank sheet. The walls and lid are the same thickness, so heat moves evenly through the pan. The lid is slightly domed so air can circulate, and the small dimples on its underside catch rising moisture and baste whatever is beneath. Generous handles make it easy to lift, even in oven gloves.
Our Blueberry colour is deep and refined rather than overbearing, for kitchens where people, food and natural elements take centre stage.

Three questions people ask
Shallow or deep? Shallow for browning, roasting, baking and quick braises; deep for stews, stock and bread. More in shallow or deep casserole?.
Which size? 26cm holds 2.3 litres, 30cm holds 3.5 litres. If you cook for four or more, or want room to brown everything in one layer, take the 30cm.
Will the enamel chip? Enamel chips if it is dropped or hit with metal. Use wooden or silicone tools and it will not.

It works fine, just a bit heavy on the washing up.
I use the casserole for one pot dishes like chicken chunks in a creamy sauce with onions. I particularly like the weight of this casserole as I found my bigger ones quite heavy. This is the first shallow casserole I have bought. It seems to produce a nice even cook. Pleased!
I like the look, and the size is great. I have used it three times. Food seems to stick to it after cooking, not during cooking. I let the dish cool and then wash by hand. However it is much more difficult to clean than my previous casserole dish which was a Le Creuset dish (I had this for more than 20 years). Unfortunately I burnt food on to this and since then food sticks during cooking. There is a vast difference in price and I will see how I go. Thank you for asking.
Absolutely love my new pot. Such a great size and looks beautiful. Cooks perfectly and cleans so easily.
Perfect for hob to table dinners - modern, efficient cookware that looks great on the table.
The pot worked really well for my Spanish baked rice dish, which starts on the hob. It’s a versatile pot, I can use metal tools with it and it was a pleasure to use and easy to clean.
An excellent pan. Exactly what I wanted
I was originally ready to press go on the Le Creuset equivalent, but the improved features of this design caught my eye. Once you take into account the huge price difference I decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. Only had a chance to use it the once so far as it's a recent purchase but I'm absolutely sure I made the right choice, so much so that I'll be adding the smaller size to my kitchen ASAP.
