Rather than copy a traditional design, our cooks and chefs started from scratch and designed a contemporary shallow casserole that will produce a huge variety of dishes at home perfectly. The Season Cast Iron Shallow Casserole is incredibly versatile, and will produce great results whether baking focaccia, cooking a chilli, making a Sunday fry-up on the hob, or so much more.
The walls and lid of our casserole are the same thickness to ensure even cooking and baking in the oven. The lid is slightly domed and designed to enable air to circulate and to catch moisture during the cooking and baking process. An array of small dimples on the lid then bastes your dish evenly with the captured moisture, and the flavour of casseroles and roasts to be enhanced. Finally, generously sized handles, make the casserole easy to manoeuvre.

Are there any heavy metals in these casseroles?
The cast iron is coated with a durable enamel glaze. The iron core has been tested for 21 of the most common heavy metals - including lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic - and no traces have been found.
What is the oven temperature limit?
The casserole is oven safe to 230°C.
Does it work on induction?
Yes. It's suitable for all hobs, including induction.
How do I clean the enamel?
Let it cool, then hand wash in warm soapy water. Hand washing is recommended over the dishwasher.
