Most silicone turners make you choose. Flexible enough to slide under a fried egg, or stiff enough to lift a fish fillet out in one piece - rarely both.
This one is stiff through the body and tapers to a thin, flexible edge. The edge gets underneath; the body does the lifting. Slots let the fat drain back into the pan on the way up.
Silicone, so it won't scratch a non-stick surface.
