A pepper mill built around a ceramic grinding mechanism - smooth, precise, and slow to wear, so it keeps its bite long after a cheaper grinder has gone blunt. A twist of the top knob sets the grind: looser for a coarse crack over a steak, tighter for a fine grind into a sauce. The body is solid beech, the kind of thing that earns its place on the table and stays there.
Natural wood, left unpainted to show the grain.
