Shortcrust pastry, done properly - buttery, light, a crisp golden finish. You'll make two: a chicken and leek pie, and an apple and cinnamon galette (the French answer to a pie - open-topped, rustic, no lid to worry about).
You'll learn:
- Dough assembly
- Rolling it right
- Blind baking, filling, and finishing
Time is tight for two pies from scratch, so the chicken pie uses dough we've made in advance - you'll build and bake it start to finish, and take home the dough you make in class to bake with later.
Vegetarian option: mushroom and leek pie.
Contains wheat/gluten.
Allergens: wheat. 18+.
Cancellation: with more than a week's notice you can move to another class or take a full refund. Inside a week we can't offer a refund.
Tutor
Danielle has taught cooking for fifteen years, privately and in schools across London. She teaches the recipe as a guide rather than a rule - you'll be tasting and adjusting as you go rather than measuring.

Something wrong with your order
If an item arrives incorrect, damaged or faulty, email hello@seasoncookshop.co.uk with your order number and what's happened. A photo helps. We'll arrange the return and cover the cost.
Changed your mind
Unwanted items can come back within 30 days for a full refund or exchange, as long as they're unused and in their original packaging. Email us with your order number and choose how to return it:
