The induction compatible Season Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Griddle Pan is ideal for cooking food with perfect grill marks, giving your dishes that authentic charred texture and flavour. Its pre-seasoned surface offers a natural, non-stick finish that improves with each use. The raised ridges create distinct grill marks on meats, vegetables, and fish. Equipped with pourers on both sides, draining excess oils or liquids for your sauce.

Our preferred couriers DPD will notify you of a one hour time slot on the morning of delivery. If next day delivery (for orders placed before 12pm) does not suit, simply choose a convenient weekday by entering it in Notes at the checkout. Saturday and Sunday delivery are also available for a reasonable
charge (see below for prices).

Returns of incorrect, damaged or defective items

Please contact us on hello@seasoncookshop.co.uk with your order number and what the issue is (a picture sometimes helps where appropriate) and we will help arrange the return of any items that are incorrect, damaged or defective. We will cover our courier cost.

 

Returns of unwanted items

Unwanted items can be returned to us within 30 days for an exchange or full refund, so long as they are unused and as new, complete with original packaging. Please contact us on hello@seasoncookshop.co.uk with your order number and we will either provide you with return details for you to send it back to or help you send it back using our courier service. The cost of the latter is £7.00, which will be deducted from your refund. Alternatively, we can arrange for your order to be returned to one of our London stores.

FAQ

What it’s best for
  • Charring vegetables (aubergine, courgettes, peppers or asparagus)
  • Grilling meats like steak, chicken breast, lamb chops,
  • Firm fish like tuna or swordfish steak
  • Toasting bread, sourdough, or panini
  • Halloumi or tofu
Cleaning and care
  • Let the pan cool slightly before washing.
  • Add a squeeze of washing up liquid, some hot water and clean with scrubbing brush.
  • Sticky bits or sugary glazes? Fill the pan with water and either a squeeze of washing-up liquid or 1 tbsp of baking soda (for really stubborn bits), simmer gently, let it cool, then scrub well.
  • The interior often needs more of a scrub than the exterior as the interior is semi-porous, designed to hold onto oil rather than let it drip between the grooves.
  • Aside from that, just bear in mind the exterior enamel coating is made of porcelain - if knocked against a hard surface, it will chip. This won't affect its functionality at all - it just won't look as pristine.
Cooking with it
  • Preheat properly – medium-high heat for about 3–5 minutes.
  • Lightly oil the food before cooking, and use a silicone pastry brush to coat the grooves with oil – helps prevent sticking.
  • Press food down firmly and don’t move it straight away – let it sear and develop those classic grill marks. The Season Stainless Steel Burger & Steak Press is perfect for the job.
  • Use a high smoke-point oil like avocado oil or vegetable oil – it can handle the heat without burning or smoking.
Pro tips
  • Maintain a consistent heat - keep the heat steady to ensure an even cook. Fluctuating temperatures can cause uneven searing and uneven cooking.
  • Let it sear – don’t move it too soon. Once you place your food down, resist the urge to shift it. Let it cook undisturbed to develop proper char lines and retain moisture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan. This can lower the temperature and cause your food to steam rather than sear. Cook in batches if necessary to keep the heat high and the results beautifully charred.
